Fuelling the Ford Transit Diesel on Bio

Have been running the Disco 300Tdi on Bio Diesel recently and kind of like the idea. (The servo is just up the road.)

What is the situation with the new engine and Bio?

as its got the same sort of (tho totally different) injectors and injection pressures as the TD5 as near as I can nut out from the pr blurb on the engine so my WAG says that the potential problems of the TD5 will be the same as per the new transit donk..

Page 89 of my new 07 Defender manual states:

Land Rover vehicles are capable of running with up to a 5% blend of bio-diesel in accordance with European Standard EN590.

    Does that help at all?

that just means you can run it on blends which is a good sign as the figure is usually very very conservative.
