    2007 fender dash

Has anyone worked out how to remove the dash panel around the radio on 2007 fender. I do not need to remove the radio, but larger panel that houses the switches door,a/c etc. Any pics would be appreciated.

Something else they've changed, nolonger a #2 philips head and a couple of spanners to get most of the dash out.

Have you tried any of the UK forums?

I have tried the UK forums without any luck. Has anyone worked out how to remove the panel around the radio?

    Yup,

Done it a dozen times or more now. Very simple undo the two big torque screws either side of the AC controls, use strong finger nails or paddle pop sticks to pull out the blank switches at the bottom. Then put your fingers inside the hole where the switches came from and pull like all buggery! you'll find if you angle to one side then the other the clips will pop undone with a loud bang!

    Have fun

    Cheers,

That's good to know thanks JohnR.

When I had the stereo head unit replaced in mine I gave the guy at Strathfield my digital camera to take a few snaps of the dash when they had it apart.

They didn't actually need to get it apart and I had put the battery in the camera upside down so no photos.
