Hello and Help
Hello everyone, I am new on here, I have a 110 with a Navistar MWM 6 pot 4.2 turbo engine fitted. I have little or no information on this engine other than it is manufactured in Brazil. Anyone here ever come across this engine? I understand it was also fitted to Ford F-250 built in Brazil. MWM International are also responsible for the modified 2.8 300tdi Land rover engine. Thanks in advance for any help.
Regards K

Hi all still on the trail of finding parts for my mwm engine, it was fitted to the Ford F250 sold in Australia
eBay.ie: FORD, F-250 XL 2002, Diesel, 4.2 l. 6 Cylinder, 2 WD, (item 330360246875 end time 24-Sep-09 23:31:43 BST)
The seller of this truck kindly sent me photos of the engine which is the same as mine, This truck, and engine are not available in Europe so there are no listings for parts etc, what I really need is an aftermarket company selling parts for this truck and willing to ship to me.
thanks
K

Hi Lads thanks for the replys I am in Ireland. The truck is the best landrover I have ever owned and we have always had landrovers. It does 30 mpg at its ease even when driving a motorway speeds 120kph +..
As for parts I have tried Ford but met the usual blank walled expression one meets when you are outside the box, electrics are bosch so no problems there, but there are parts that cannot be got on this side of the world, like the belt tensioner for the fan belt, even with the part no from Dayco Oz, dayco uk could not supply the part???
so with a bit of lateral thinking we added an adjuster to the alternator and used a shorter belt.

The engine

try this guy, he imports stuff from the Brazilian crowd. Did a lot of 2.8 into North America. He is into the import/export business, does Unimogs and other diesel vehicles.
I have no association other than seeing him of a discussion list.
