Magellan GPS's
Anyone on here using the in-car versions (Other than the crossover)?
I just bought a cheap Maestro 4250 (Not a range that I think are in Aus though) while here in the US to play with and compare to the TomTom. I wanted to see what else was around before splashing on a new TomTom 720 or 920, and I'm not impressed. UI is horrible and seems to have very little customisation and everything just seems so much fuss to do when driving compared to TomTom. Probably a case of what I'm used to, but this seems way less intuitive and slower to do basic functions like add a favourite.
Just wanted to get others' opinions of them, or even be told I'm missing some magic config options that would address what I don't like.
It's going back today, and I'm going to spend the extra on a new TomTom for road use and still leave mkyself with the issue of what to do offroad.
