    maxi vs Arb

    Hey to the gang.

Can members tell me what is the story behind the saying I wouldnt install an arb diff locker.
Your better to install a Maxi !!! But they have shut there doors due to the owner retiring.
So I Guess im asking what is the next best thing to install or is there only arb left. ( In australia )
    Cheers

Nothing wrong with ARB lockers. It was just a matter of personal choice really.....now they are no longer available so it's one less choice.

You could try Jac Macnamarra in Moorabbin, Melbourne, Victoria. He (Jeff)makes a great product but is quite hard to deal with.

Maxi axles can still be bought but under a new name......"Hytuff".

Someone will have a link or phone number no doubt....or is it still the old phone number??
    Cheers

Give him a call and find out. Or better yet order some stuff and see if you get it this year. I have dealt with this guy a couple times over the years. He is a pain in the ass. Just doesn't seem to be motivated and couldn't give a toss about his customers.

Just my experience....others may say different.

Others wont say different and rightly so he can be rude, difficult and just plain not interested....If you want Jac Mac stuff you need to go there and wave cash then he is very easy to deal with.

Over the phone to Jeff you are just another person calling and wasting his time.

Was in LRA the other day chatting to them about diif-lock options for my D2, they were saying that TJM"s Pro-Locker will be available for Rovers in about 4 months, they seemed to think the Pro-Locker was superior to the ARB unit.

The pro locker is a Jac Mac design as I understand it. It should be good news to Rover owners.....at least you dont have to deal with JMac anymore.
