Hoop Sets For Series 3

Hola,

Am having terrible trouble tracking down a hoop set for an SWB Series 3.

1. Does ANYONE HAVE ONE PLEEEEEASE!

2. Does anyone have the "blueprints" or be prepared to lend me theirs? I imagine it will be cheaper to custom make a set that to order from the UK unless 7-8 are ordered at the same time and postage is shared.

PS: Am also after a drop down tailgate and fixings...

Can't help directly, but note that Series 2/2a/3 are the same, which will widen what you are looking for. But hoop sets seem to be in short supply for any model.

Drop down tailgates and fixings should be readily available second hand from any of the people who wreck Landrovers - for your location Land Vehicle Spares out near Warragamba would be a good start.

I have a set, that has been sold, but still here, they are for a Workshop trailer so the rear legs are longer than the front and they have an extension that pulls out the back, but I would imagine the shape and size would be the same as you're looking for, John will set us right there. If you want to come and take measurements or I could take pics and add some measurements, could do so, I dont think the new owner will mind, Regards Frank.

Once I have exhausted all opportunities, I may have to track down a full set and get them copied.

Has anyone made aftermarket / custom bars? I can't imagine it would be that tricky, and may look a little better too.

G'day All, SurferJim the workshop hoops will not fit any Land Rover at all, by that I mean the hoops that are on the tub or trailer are completely different from what you are looking for cheers Dennis

Thanks Dennis - I think I am resigned to having some made up and copied. Fortunately, Rayngie has such an engineering friend in Sydney.

Now - does anyone have some hoops I could borrow for a week or two to copy?

i have a few Center hoops that are new that i used before i got a genuine set...

i just cut the tags off...

$15 each....
i have 4 off memory and the long and short horizontal connectors as well.
