    Talking Pto Winches

    ok i have a thomas pto 8000lbs winch.can any one point me in the right place to get hold of a manual owner or maintance.i am going to make a new frame for mine for the S3 & while its out i thought i would give it a spit & polish,but dont want to just jump in & pull it all apart..thanx...

    I stripped one down a few years ago. Pretty simple to work on. I took the seals & bearings to bearing supplies and got newies.
    I recommend moreys oil when you replace the oil, or similar.

    I had a 30,000 Lb winch on a float that I use to drive, It use to leak oil and had what sounded like a bearing noise in it when pulling a heavy load ( dead earth moving plant) I filled it with Morey's and about 2 uses later the leaks and the noise went.
