G'day to all from sunny south Aust going for day 14 above 35c today. It would seem quite unlikely to happen here at the moment, but how do the electrics in the D2 handle water crossings. I was looking at the LR4x4 site yesterday and there are a number of threads indicating that some of the electrical sensors do not like water. What are the findings over here in Australia

Great photo, is that a bow wave or a tsunami.
Water has never affected anything electrical in my D2, but I have never flooded the interior where most of the computers are either.

I was going to post this exact thread. For a V8 Though.
If it does stop... Where do you start?
What's it most likely going to be and how do you fix it???![]()
From the drowned TD5 Defenders and Disco's that I've heard about, after the computers dry out it all works again. But that may take a while short of pulling open the ECU's

bludy hell Mightgeta, that's wishful thinking...let me know if you find enough water to get your electrics wet!

Hey ! we had at least six drops of rain about a week ago, that was enough to double our rainfall for the year so far. Start building an ark and look out.![]()
