Welcome, where abouts are you located?

Td5 Disco is rated to pull 3,500kgs. I'm in the process of getting an off-road camper and will tow this behind my Disco. If you want a bit more get up and go see about getting the ECU reflashed to give the engine more power and torque.

I'm about to pick up an off-road camper myself and this will be behind my Td5 Disco. The only issue you will encounter is getting Disco2 rims on the camper may prove awkward. It's not imposible but the trailer people don't like to do it.

    Hi Alnrona,
I also tow an off-road camper & have no problems at all, as Derek has posted the D2 (all of them 99-04my's) will tow upto 3500kg's.
    Depending on which model u choose & i would presume a TD5,
A chip will help as well as an intercooler to keep the EGT's (Exhaust Gas Temp's) down a little, but not really neccessary. Mine is done & is very noticable after not having a chip for years, you also do get marginally better fuel economy.
