    Defender 6 seats

    Gday all
Currently a GU owner but am seriously looking at going to a defender 110 or a 130 but my problem is i need 6 seats at times when the whole tribe is with me.
I know the 110 can be fitted with an extra seat in the rear.
Can or do either model come out with a seat in the middle of the two fronts as in some single cab defenders.

    cheers
    Randal

I have seen the 130's with another seat in the front where the console is. I am not sure whether or not this is a factory option but I am sure someone here can tell us. There is one up at Brooks motors in Albury for sale but the centre seat has different trim so it would of been an after thought. If you are chasing a 130 I have a 5 seater for sale.

Pretty sure the new model 07/08 can have a third row of factory seats as an option.

There was an extra front middle seat for sale in the markets section here a few weeks back but I was too late to buy it. They do exist for 300tdis at least

Thanks for your replies, just to know something is available to fit between the front seats helps.
Only have to decide between 110and the 130 now.

Just be aware that the 3rd front seat has limited legroom because of the transmission tunnel / gear levers etc. How badly this is limited I'm not sure, as I don't have one to check against. (And I'm not a big guy anyway )

If the clan includes younger ones who don't need the legroom, that's fine, but I'm pretty sure 3 adults in the front would be a bit uncomfortable.

I have 3 seats across the front on my 1984 County 110, and I can confirm that the middle seat is for small people (ie younger than 10) if they are to sit there for any length of time. Even a youngster finds it uncomfortable after a while.

    Cheers
