Smash Repairer Needed For 2007 Defender

This afternoon I had a Honda CR-V hit my 2007 defender on the driver's side front wheel guard & bullbar. Luckly The only damage was the guard & a few stratches on the bullbar.

As I have my insurance with Allianz, I need to take it to a Smash Repairer of my choice, but I don't know any around Arncliff/St Peters (Inner Sth West Sydney) that handle land rovers.

So If anyone knows off any. Please let me know asap.

    Regards,
    Michael

    Hi Michael

Give Graeme Cooper's a call. They should have some local knowledge.

Hope the damage isn't too bad....the Taipan is looking very smart...new lights and all.

Talk to Blair at A & J Corban Smash Repairs - Forest Road Hurstville 9580 5000. Arthur Corban was (maybe still is) a Range Rover Club member. Tell him that Diana sent you, they are also friends of Graeme Cooper and Arthur Garthon.

They do excellent work, lots of experience with aluminium bodies of Land Rover products and will only paint the panels when they are off the vehicle so there should be no evidence of the repair afterwards.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

    Michael,

    Forgot to ask:
How did the CRV scrub up after the altercation ( and/or )?

I think many insurance companies have rules that vehicles <2yo must be fitted with new panels if replacements are required. A new outer guard and door skin would be better than a S/H one from an older defender - or a bogged up existing one.

I'm VERY interested to hear how you get on with Allianz. I am insured with them and it would be good to know how they perform for you.

Honda CR-V Down for the count

Honda was stuck in gear, radiator smash & leaking and unable to turn steering wheel. Therefore it had to be towed.
