Sounds somewhat familiar, DJHampson will probably comment soon, as it sounds exactly the same as the issues he had. Apparently a software fault that surfaces after 6000kms does that. Simple software update at the dealer.
Cheers!
Hi all,
I got three things that happen with the FL2 on the odd occasion. I know if I take it to the dealer they won't happen when I want them too, so thought I'd run it past here.
1. Sometimes when I go to start the car it won't start and then the car beeps and all the trip meters reset themselves to zero. Am I doing something wrong, this has happened about 3 times.
2. When I unlock the car, open the door I hear the CD changer (even when no CD's in the player), making noises like its changing CD's. This happens pretty much every time I unlock the car and open the door straight away.
3. Interior lights don't wanna go off, only go off when the car is locked. Had to take the globe outta the luggage area on our camping trip as it stayed on even when driving.
Hope someone can help.
Thanks
Michelle.

This is a known problem that can be fixed with a software update. I had mine done in January but they stuffed it up and broke all of the software in the car. 2 days later they got it right again. I've not had this problem again. There is a long thread about this on Freel2.com
I get this too but I don't think its a problem. Its just the stacker getting itself ready. I think when the car is switched off the CDs are locked so when you come back to the car it needs to unlock them ready to play.
I haven't seen this problem. My luggage light stays on for a few seconds and then fades out after shutting the rear door.
Good Luck with it!

Thanks guys, I'll ask the dealer about the software upgrade.

the first part I cant help with but
as already suggested the cd stacker making noise is part of its inernal security which if you mess with it when its in lock down will render it pretty much an expensive paper weight and good luck getting your cds back. I suggest that anything you put in it should be backups of the discs that you already own in the event of it having a nana session and deciding that it likes your cds too much to give them back.
the third one is probably related to one of the striker switches on the door being out of adjustment, to test for this with the ignition on accessories and the engine off open a door and operate the little push switch by hand, hold it in for a minute and it should go out. If it doesnt then the switch you have just checked is not the faulty one and you can progress onto the next one. Of course this doesnt work if you have 2 faulty switches or some other electrical gremlin.

If you've benefited from one or more of my posts please remember, your taxes paid for my skill sets, I'm just trying to make sure you get your monies worth.
If you think you're in front on the deal, pay it forwards.
I also have this problem with my CD player. Have yet to talk to the dealer. I also cleaned my car today and notices some water in the light covers. This was only form a garden hose not a HP hose
