    New Roof Tent

Got our roof tent this morning.

    Hannibal 1.4m with Jumbo Fly.

Looked at quite a few including the ARB Simpson 2, Howling moon and Eezi awn and decided that the Hannibal seemed about the best. (Having said that they are all pretty good)

    Fitted it this afternoon.

Pretty heavy.. took a bit of effort to get it onto the roofbars between the 2 of us! (55kg)

All bolted down now for our cape york trip which is only 6 weeks away! have a test trip this weekend to Noosa.

Got to sort out the frame for the jumbo fly above the door yet (dont have a rivet gun at the moment anoter trip to bunnings!

Also boarded out the rear to make a flat floor across the top of the wheel boxes.

    Cheers
    Pete.

    Nice very Nice.

Col (BeforeTheVision) and I are thinking of marking our own rooftop tents but I'll let Col share the design if he wants to cause he thought it up. I'm just providing the shed to work in.

Col, take note this is the quality I expect in your design

I don't want to tell you this but the roof bars should be on the car, not between the two of you!

If you have a compressor, I highly recommend an air pneumatic pop riveter. I bought one just before Easter. Wow! When using 3/16" rivets it is so easy compared with straining one's wrists with a conventional hand riveter.

I wish I'd bought it years ago.
