    tjm airtec snorkel 2007 defender

has anyone fitted a tjm airtec snorkel to a new defender. It requires removing the the air cleaner intake tube. The instructions say "some manipulation may be required" I am finding it damn near impossible. Has anyone done this?

I managed to get the intake tube out from the aircleaner and input side, but could not completely remove it. The reason it has to come out is so that silicone can be put around the ends to make a waterproof seal. There is no clamps on the tube it is just a "push" fit. I notice that the genuine snorkel is classed only as "dust conditions". I downloaded the install for the LR snorkel and there is no mention of sealing the joints. I would suggest that anyone who has a genuine LR (or Mantec) snorkel check the seals before water crossing.

I think this is the area where the problem is.

    RMB3218,

What website allows you to download details on the LR Snorkel? The dealer installed my snorkel, but I would like to get more details on it.

    Thanks
