    Stolen Gq Patrol (vic Reg Tbb424)

    My sisters beloved 90 model GQ patroll was stolen around 430 pm sataday 3/5/08 from out the front of her maroobra address the patrol is a blue over silver wagon with white sunrasiers and alloy bar ....

    The car was regoed but as it hadent movd for a few weeks neighbors had thought t was abandoned and called the council and a ranger had been and placed a tow away notice on the truck on the thursday before as my sis had a sunvisor in the front window she didnt notice the big green sticker but some other mungrell has and took it on sataday ...

    Other neighbours wittnessed the theft and reported it to police who didnt respond at all and the car was driven away by a man in overalls of a islander appearance but luckly the man was seen in another vehicle and its rego has been traced to a maranda addy and the police say the plates dont match the discription of the vehicle but are looking into it ....

    So be warned if your car sits in tha street and a neighbour complains about it being there the council can still attach the big green sticker to say it will be towed away even tho its regoed what a joke this is

    Unless the procedure has changed it goes something like this, (for nsw)
    vehicle reported to council
    ranger comes out, checks vehicle gets all the details,rego no etc,
    checks via the rta, for owners details or if it is stolen, if sotlen notify police if not;
    if owner can't be located, ( if vehicle is currently registered and legally parked, they can;t do anything to it!!)
    put sticker on vehicle giving a number of days for it to be removed.
    if vehicle is still there after the set number of days and vehicle has intrinsic value, arrange for vehicle to be towed to council holding yard.
    Notify the local police that they have had the vehicle towed, just in case the owner comes to report it stolen.
    ,then the vehicle is advertised for sale by the council and disposed of.
    If the owner somehow appears after the vehicle is sold the council is supposed to reimburse them.

    If your talking about Maroubra thats randwick council, there holding yard/depot used to be in storey street, or may still be there.

    That truly sucks about your sisters GQ mate it really gets my goat that people are willing to steal off someone from a working class background, someone whom it doesn't come easy to,yet these muppets have no remorse or an inkling of what they put people through the pr..ks ,
    Mate if you find out who did it let them know my GQ is insured and in perth waiting for them ......it's sad being a traitor of the tractor
