Anyone got one of these cages

I came across an expedition roll cage on Ebay for nearly six K but they supplied a small plan and this pic..cool cage as it extends to the chassis rails inside the body work..Anyone got one and did they fit it themselves?

It's a SafetyDevices cage. I have one on my 90 HardTop. That and the non-stick finish on the chassis are the two best after-market changes I can think of.

I wish I had one of those on mine when I rolled the Defender a couple of weeks ago. Windscreen pillars snapped in a coulpla places. Insurance company wrote it off and gave me 1/2 of what it has cost me to kit it out. Aren't these bars about $5000? Anyhow just replaced the vehicle with another one. Dont think I'll have $5000 left after kitting out the new Defender.

yes i think they do, i know that the external windscreen to internal cage does......(thats on the 90 behind it and this is the one i would like to get on the 110)

i think the external ones do also, although initally at first i thought they didn't, but now i'm pretty sure they do

    If that makes sense

Absolutely, thanks Dullbird. I was trying to work out why and what for if it was just to the skin, though passing through the skin like that makes it look very cool and functional.
