TLFOHT is dead long live TLFOHT

The Lowliest form of human transport aka my mountain bike I bought a few weeks ago is dead, we had a bit of a moment riding home fro the train station. Just after the cycleway, I came to a stop when my front wheel hit a steel Galv pipe sticking 2 inches out of the ground, (looks like where the council have moved a school fence, I came off and missed impailing my stomach on them by around 1 inch. The bike came of worse when my fat body landed on the front wheel bending it and snapping it in two. I am now down to walking, getting a lift off my wife or shamefully riding the bus to the train station.

    sad to hear

sad to hear about the bike. good to see anothe county/defender getting around Lake Macquarie. My family up there has an '84(ithink) Green County with the 4.2 Stroker running on bags and LPG around Toronto, & big Black ARB Bar. theres a similar one with the steel or alloy one around Toronto too.

You are right. The front wheel is about 2% of the components that make up that machine

Lets see, front wheel, front tyre, front diff. Anything else dangling out in front that's broken

You still don't think you need that exorcism

nah just an angry letter considering the amount of kiddies riding that way each day. In todays day and age you'd think they'd have enough sense than to leave poles ground off sticking out of the ground.

They send me broke all the time. It would have been cheaper to marry an addict or a shopaholic than a horse rider, at least the folk have got something to show for it, all I have is an endless supply of horse crap.

I have no idea of that which you speak of......

Ahh, it's a nice feeling when I'm reassured that I'm not the only one

If not a compo claim, the lawyers will tell you a suit against the Council for the 2" gal pipe sticking out of the ground in a public place.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
