    indicator wiring and flasher unit

My '64 SIIA doesn't have a flasher unit. how do i wire it up.

I found a Black/White going to ground, Green/Black getting constant power going into the indicator box, and Green/White and a Green/Red going to the left and right sides.

Where and how does the flasher unit connect?

Unfortunately, your model did not have flashers fitted as standard, and the colours you give are not consistent with later installations, although the colours to the left and right blinkers are correct.

The standard installation would have a green wire, that is fused from the ignition live, going to the flasher unit and a light green and brown lead from there to the combined switch and warning light.

It is likely that the one in yours is an aftermarket installation.

    Hope this helps,

    Thumbs up flasher unit

Hey steve, There will be 2 or 3 wires on your flasher unit, from the switch on the column Black with red stripe and Green with red stripe the 3rd wire will go through the firewall to the light circuit. Dont worry if you wire the flasher wrong just swap the wires around until it works.
    Cheers

I thought that all SIIA's had indicators. Wasn't this one of the upgrades from SII to SIIA?
