This is a base model (Di) that has been optioned up to XEDI specs with the exception of the wheels - still steel wheels.
These are very good cars but do have one major design fault that you can monitor and correct if a problem develops.
Landrover got the front diff ratio wrong and it works the Viscous Coupling (VC) causing to fail (lock up) which in turn causes the intermediate reduction drive (IRD) (the equivalent of the transfer case) to fail. If this has already happened on this then the problem is fixed.
Thankfully this does not happen over night so having the VC checked every service and ensuring all tyres have equal wear by proper tyre rotation the issue can be identified in advance. Just replace the VC - expensive in Australia but relatively cheap if inported from the UK.
Overall these are exceptionally reliable - mine has 235,000km and is running really well.
An Di is worth about 8K in very good nick with the ks on this - an XEDI about $9k
As per the comment - 'if not in a hurry' - they are much quicker than a Disco/Fender TDI or TD5 and much more fuel efficent.
