    D2 A pillar trims (external)

Um, if anyone is really, really bored...
Could you tell me if the black plastic trims on the (exterior) of the A pillar are supposed to be flush up againt the leading edge of the gutter?

Had the windscreen replaced a few months back and somehow the gap I have looks wrong...but then it's not one of those things you really take notice of...before.

...and then I keep thinking the snorkel should be flussh against the A pillar too and isn't...

    Cheers

Not sure if this is what you mean, but I have had my screen replaced as well. I have taken a couple of pics. Hope this may help. BTW I dont think the snorkel sit flush. The top of my screen rubber is not in the same spot. I hate replacing screens.

    Hi,

If you mean is there a gap at the top of the A pillar trim where it sits under the gutter, then yes there should be a small one. This is where my snorkel bracket sits and where it bolts throught the gutter

    Thanks guys!
Cheers for the pics Dave...from that it looks like the trims are in the right place...though they did crack the scuttle trim.

Same here, the top rubber is not in the same spot on mine either . Which led me to notice the watermark on the headling around the passenger side A pillar. But I can't remember if that was already there and I just didn't notice it

Guess I'll have to wait till it tips down again to see.

UP, my snorkel bracket is about 2/3's of the way up the A pillar.

    I hate replacing screens too!
    Cheers

Im sure it is, Safari snorkel by any chance ??

Mines a mantec like the G4 Disco's have and bolts like below, the bracket sits in the gap between the "A" pillar trim and the gutter

I recently had my screen done to, I watched em like a hawk !!!!....... If they had cracked my scuttle panel, they would be replacing it at their cost!!!.

    Hi Mike
The 3 clips inside where the door closes dont like being removed/replaced.Supercrap have them on their trim clips stand cheap as,but Ive only found white ones.
They also have the clips that hold that hard plastic trim above the rear bumper, only in white but its out of site.
You need to take one in to find what you want, loads of varieties on the revolving stand.

    Cheers Andy
That's gold - as I've got some other trim clips that are missing too. The audio installers lost the ones that hold the cover up above the dead-pedal.
