    Tyre marks on the bonnet

While pulling the spare off and on the bonnet, I inevitably leave dirty marks on it and find myself in need of a Swedish massage to straighten out the back. Is it me or is there a trick to taking the wheel off?

    Thanks

yes there is but its a secret....

It depends on how strong you are...

I lay a hession bag down up the bonnet from the front up to under the leading ede of the tyre and off to the drivers side. I then stand on the inside of the front bar with my knees up against the front of the bonnet and with my left hand (after undoing the clamps) I press down on the rubber part of the tyre closest too me and then using a hook bar inserted through one of the stud holes I stand the tyre up then roll it off to my left down the bonnet and over the barwork letting it drop off the front to fall over.

putting it back I stand the tyre vertically up against the bar work ontop of the base plates then squat lif it up over the barwork to sit on the wing and the bonnet then pretty much reverse the above...

The real trick to it is getting it to lay on the supports and the locking clamps without fouling the clamps.
