			Seeking LR S1

Im after a cheap S1 LR to restore but cant seem to find one that is complete or cheap enough to commence work on. Where do people find such good examples at reasonable prices to work on. Either they are way to expensive or are not complete with major pieces missing. Where can i commence searching for a good example LR S1. thanks

hey mate, im at the tail end of a series 1 mission and if i could offer a small bit of advice it would be this, save up and buy the best and most complete example you can find and start from there. i thaught i was saving hundreds by getting a cheap one, but tracking down missing parts or restoring broken parts has cost at least 5 times as much as what i thaught i was saving. it is a lesson i wont be soon forgetting, by the way any one have some spare seats???

			finding

					hi Shammy

They are out there. My problem is , they always seem to be too far away . I have come across very nice examples , but usually many hundreds of miles away , e.g., interstate . Hiring a trailer and doing it all with a 20 year old dodgy towing car isn't much fun anymore, like it was back in the 1970's ... with a Standard Vanguard tow car.

I agree with the others , if you find a relatively unmolested gem , in good shape, it will save you many frustrating hours of work.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting. You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
