ARB Winch Bar on 07 Def.

I have noticed a number of 07/08 Defender owners with a full ARB winch bar on the front of their trucks. Just wondering, have these been specifically designed for the 07 model or are they retro fitting the old bar?

i believe they have basically retro fitted the old bar by a small extension on the mounts that attach to the chassi

ARB in their wisdom have dropped the non-winch bar they used to make and now only sell the winch bar type with all its associated cutouts and fairlead roller brackets etc. Very untidy looking unless you also fit a winch in my opinion.

The other 08 Defender in town has a genuine bar (dealer wouldn't fit the ARB and give warranty I was told). Guess what... its identical to the ARB bar, apart from the badge.

My ARB bar off my 04 90 fitted straight onto my 08 110. You just need the bar for the later td5 models that had the slighty longer nose to allow for aircon. The earlier model bars would not fit without moding.
