04 TD4 freelander elec fuel pump
Hi Guys.
A quick one
How long should a electric fuel pump last mounted on the side of the tank.
Lost fuel pressure to rail.
She's only done 113,000 klm, it died. had to get toed to dealer.
Dealer said it was dirty terminal contacts on the pump.
Cheers

How long is a piece of string ?
There's no set time for a fuel pump to last.
It could be anywhere from 1 hour to 20 or more years.
Did it need replacement or did cleaning the contacts fix the problem ?

Lost faith in dealer
They said they cleaned the contacts and was ready to pick up.
Went to start my new landy, and it would not start again.
So, they still have it. I bet they will just botch it up to get past the 3 months warrenty.
Whats a new one worth roughly?
Thanks for your reply.

It must be that time of the year.
We replaced one today & the new pump was as dead as a dodo
