What not to say to the owner of a new Defender

Didn't happen to me, but to the other 08 Defender owner in town.

They'd parked in town and a friend approaches them and says:

"Why did you repaint the car? I thought you were going to buy a new one."

Yeah - I've had both the "respray" comments, and things like "she's in really good nick for such an old car"

People have been surprised to hear it is only 6 months old..... Ignoramuses

hehehe, it would be funnier if it didn't happen so often!

I had a sticker on my landy once that said " I'm not a bloody jeep".

I've trained most of friends now not to call it a jeep.

    i once had the neighbour

comment on our 2 disco's on the drive

they said they were like a cute pair of wellington boots

yes they do drive a landrcuiser!!!...(this is when we were first introduced to them )

i said we shall see how small and cute they are when we recover them out of a hole....(they were busy telling us how much 4wding they had done)
(she didn't like that very much)
funny thing is the husband of that relationship quite openly told us why he doesn't like landrovers......and spent the night bagging them out

but ever couple of weeks he comes over to the new 110 has a good look at it has a chat about it before he goes home..without fail
