Great to hear... looks like a nice spot
Finally she has been off road.....
The Kelvinator was taken on a sight seeing trip a few hours drive north west of Sydney.
Whilst the drive was over fairly well made 4wd tracks there were opportunities to test her out on some loose steepish uphills and some downs as well.
I am impressed with the traction control and the torquey engine being much more manageable at slower speeds than the Disco.
I was expecting the anti-stall to take over the downhill driving but on the steepest slopes in low first she crawled down at walking pace.
The ride generally was much more comfortable than the Disco...with less pitching... I guess the longer wheel base helps there.
Love the room in the back for stowage.

Good to see you got it off the road.
We went out today too, tried out low 1st on a 30 to 40 degree loose rocky incline. Just walked up it without the accelerator, no TC came on either, I was rather disappointed.

Didn't do the crawl-up-hill thing...just some low third with a little bit of right welly to get the TC light on. Pretty much as I would have driven the Disco but with much less wheel spin. I'm looking forward to some experimentation.
I did find that the little gear stick had a less positive feel when it came to engaging but I figure I'll get used to this and /or the engagement will improve with use...the Disco's was a little vague to begin with as well.
Overall a very pleasing experience apart from the cold night in the tent evidenced by the remnants of a previous snowfall in the shadows.

I'm hoping I can do the same spot next weekend with 1.2t of Kamper behind.
Hopefully I'm not working like this weekend
I know what you mean about the CDL.

The Kelvinator!! LMAO! I love it!
Congratulations, your going to love it. You will be amazed where it will take you. We've just spend the last two weekends thrashing ours on some very difficult tracks and he always impressed. We did get bogged yesterday in a BIG mud pool, but heck that was fun too.
Cheers,
