i,ve found a 51
spotted a 51 in a paddock some time ago and its taken me some thing like nine weeks to track down the owners it seems to be quite original eg the paints getting very thin all three different colours the grille ,instrument panel seats and motor are still original as far as i can tell usual knocks on the under carriage and the chassis seems ok the bulk head has rust around a couple of points but no major holes .....the question is what areas should i look at closley before purchase it.i want to restore it as closely as possible to original and before anyone says wheres the pics i drove the fender down today jumped out in the rain and realised the batteries on the digital camera where flat .
so thats tommorows chore after work purchase new batteries and post some pics

Will await the pics.
The good thing about almost all the 1951's is that they have both the wide front springs and the selectable 2wd 4wd transfer box so parts are a lot more available than earlier types with the freewheel unit and narrow springs.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
