Sounds to me like you may have a short circuit somewhere, perhaps check the cabling from the trailer plug back to each brake hub for damage or loose connections?
Good luck, Phill
G'day,
Anyone around Northern Perth know anything about ALKO electric trailer brakes?
Not sure if its the actual brakes on the trailer that are the problem or the in car controller.
Symptoms: incar controller goes from "C" Conected to "NC" Not connected while driving, the brakes are still working - if I press the brake pedal the numbers come up on the controller but then immedicately goes to "NC" for about 10 seconds and then back to "C".
Anyone have any idea? I have checked the connection between the car and trailer - they seem fine and have sprayed with Inox.
I have never worked on these, so dont know what to look for
