    Cooper oil filters

Moved to Tassie a while back and need to replace filters on my S1 td5
and have been told that you cannot get cooper filters over here.

So what do you Tasweigans use in your td5s, I can get Cooper Z1353 oil
filters from T R S in Adelaide S.A. but would prefer to buy locally.

    G'day Hybrid disco

Give these guys a try British Four Wheel Drive - Land Rover & Range Rover Parts Specialist, they are in Hobart. Their delivery statewide is quick and I'm sure I have had a Coopers filter from them in the past.

Likethe others have said JC would know for sure the best place to source them.

What part of Tas are you in?

    CheersAndy.

Hi there and welcome to the state!

What is the 'hybrid' part of the disco??

In answer to your Q, I only use genuine LR filters, but I can get Coopers or Crosland , whatever you want.
    Where are you ?

    hybrid disco

    Hi Justin

Thanks for the reply I am using Cooper Z1353 oil filters, as used by Triumph Rover Spares in Adelaide when they fitted my D2 auto box, the previous auto box was a S1 but owing to a problem lost third and fourth gears so replaced it.

My 94 update disco was 3.9 v8 but as the motor was just about had it at 180k I had a replaced with a td5 diesel. ( bought entire drive train from radiator to exhaust pipe from a rolled d2 disco) fitted all except the auto box as then I needed a S1 box to get the speedo working.

Fitted the S2 fuel pump into the original tank, the D1 bcu operates all the original gear inside the disco while a S2 ecu is for the engine management system.

    hence the hybrid name

    coopers oil filter

    Thanks Ron

Wasn't aware of the two brands but after looking, the screw on canister is white, so thanks for the info, have had no problems so far.

The oil filter z1353 is for td5 motors (have fitted one into my 94 disco)

thanks again Ron for putting me on the straight and narrow.

Apologies to all and sundry it must be the weather causing all this brain strain since I came to Sheffield.

CooperS (with the S) make most of the OEM filters for Landrover. So a CooperS filter is likely to be better quality than a GUD/Ryco/Cooper filter.
