Cant reactivate 2 replaced lost keys

I have been without my Freelander2 for 6+ weeks because having lost 2 sets of keys (long story), the replacement keys (*$1200) cannot be programmed. A replacement car computer ($600) was also shipped from [UK] but the dealer is still cant program. Regardless of my stupidity I see this is as a major design fault but am looking for anyone who may have a work around.

Have you been in contact with LR HQ over this?
I would assume their technical guys are involved already but it seems like an awfully long time to sort this out.
