Listening to the news this arvo, and apparently there have been no young children in the Whitehouse for a long time. It was mentioned that people are making comparisons to the Kennedy era...........

Hope that's the only comparison................ if you catch my drift.

Glad you guys find this debacle so amusing. The next four years are looking pretty scary around here. Living less than 25 miles from the white house I can assure you now that he is the president elect it would be extremely difficult for some one to get to him. I have some friends that are Secret Service agents and the security the US President has is second only to that afforded to Osama Bin Laden. How long before our follies here impact your economy there ?

btw- petrol has dropped to $2.17 per sae gallon for regular grade 87 octane
diesel is still around $3 a gallon

most of our Defence Forces are involved in Peacekeeping now,, so WHEN you pull out of the current conflicts, it will make little difference to us.
I imagine we will still be allied very closely.
