    Rope hook's on 109's

    Hi All
I have several Hood Sockets (cappings)that have the rope hooks cut off.
I am going to have a hood on the tub, I guess I would need them (hooks) on the front.
    Any idea's
Also I have a pair of Hood Sockets that have re-enforcing brackets on both ends.
Are they used on the rear or can be put on the front of the tub?
    Any info would be handy
    Cheers
    Ian

The top capping is the one with the add-on's and hooks cut off.
The lower 2 shows one with hooks and the other cut off.
my question is why are they cut off?

Probably cut off as not needed when a hardtop was fitted, and because they catch on things.

    Answers to questions

    Hi All
Just got off the phone talking to Dennis.
    He has answered my questions
The end were cut off to stop fouling the hood.
The re-enforced corners were made to stop more damage.
If anyone as a pair of them please let me know.
    As I can used them.
    cheers

    hooks

The hooks where used on the first 107" as the tilt on the early 107s had a front in it, But the later 107s and 109s have a channel around the rear of the truck cad into which the front of the tilt fits. If the hooks where left at full length it would rub on this channel bit.
Thus as always with rover’s superior engineering another part was not needed just lop a bit off the hooks.
