Woo Hoo I'm in the Series I club!!!

Just won this old girl on eBay $405

She's pretty rough, 1951 model aparently and has been sitting for 12 months, no doors or windscrene and has holden red motor. Anyway pics from the eBay listing:

This is my second LR, I am already restoring an ex-military Series IIA 109 so I am new to series Is so any further info is appreciated. Oh and her name is Yellow Peril (previous owner's name for her)

Nice, looks like a project. I see you have two original seat backs and a straight bumper, you lucky bugger. Love the tyre chains let us know the numbers when you get it.

Looks around a 50 model. We used to run chains on ours here in the mud.

    It looks savable. Well done

    Good one,

Welcome to the S1 sickness. It will be interesting to see if you stop at one or is that 1/2.

Stick it on a RRC or Disco 1 chassis and put a 318 in it

It all depends on the condition of the chassi, one of the possibilities we were talking about (me and my mate) was throwing some hilux diffs under it (my mate has acess to a couple) and turn it into a comp truck. It's already pretty canibolised so we thought... why not?

It will probably just be a paddock basher or shooting rig for a while untill I get my current project (the IIA Ex-Mill) on the road

Can't wait to go pick it up next week
