    Anyone into old cameras ?

    Hello

I have a Voigtlander Vito BR in what I think is very good condition. I understand these are a fair bit rarer than the Vito B versions. I also have a lens shade, clear filter (?) which screws over the lens and the remote release cable (allows lock open shutter also). I'd be really interested to know how much this camera would be worth and where I could find a buyer.

I also have: A Minolta Hi-Matic AF2 (in what is probably fair to poor condition. I;d be surprised if its worth anything.

Also a Polaroid Land Camera '1000' with matching Polatronic 1 flash. Again, any idea of value and where to sell ?
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

Ebay has a massive range of prices of Vitos from $2 to this price for a BR:
    Vito BR + 2,8/50 mm Color-Skopar - eBay (item 370129729170 end time Dec-19-08 11:58:49 PST)

That link may be too long - item 370129729170

I like old cameras, but not that much!

    Cheers, Steve

I sold a Voigtlander vito for $250 last year, that was good money in my opinion. I think you'd be lucky to get that now. Ebay US is a good place to list though.

Yeah I agree Waxenwane - I reckon $200 is reasonable.

I have a few old Brownie cameras, some are boxes cameras, some are folding, a Bronica ETR-S 120 format, an old Rollie-Flex with a full kit of accessories and lenses, various Minolta bodies and lenses from super wide to high end tele and dedicated macro lenses, the pride of my collection is a full set of hand-made Novaflex lenses and squeeze grip focus handgrip.

I bought one of the last Praktica TTL SLR's 1/1000 shutter in as new condition at auction for $20. Film cameras sell for a pittance nowadays. Even Nikons fetch bus money unless they have a good kit of lenses in the lot. In a few short years you will probably have to process your own film if you can still buy it.

You have a point there Brian, I have a spare room full of darkroom gear. Something like 4 enlargers, timers, trays the works. I've been hanging on to it because of just that, though I guess the chemicals will be considered part of a terrorist's arsenal by then
