Its the humidity I tell ya.....

Ive been painting the new splits for fozzy..... (the ones trialed on the sundown trip)

Decided that since I couldnt sleep Id put the last coat on the rims tonight.

when you decide to paint split rims, you should paint both the rim and the split...

Even if they stuff up the colour? Did you pay for it before they mixed it?

I thought it looked "deeper" in the tin but when they painted it onto a card and I took it outside It looked near enough.

but paint it on over the top of a dark undercoat and put a couple of layers on.....

by the time Id done the etching, undercoating (the splits are at the etch stage) the undercoat comes up a very dark colour and by the time I worked out the top coat wasnt coming up the right colour Id done the first coat on 3 rims and I am not in the mood to sandblast 5 split rims or pay for a second lot of paints.

The attitude of the boss over their policies and the fact that its all my fault because I didnt tell the bloke mixing the paint what I was going to do with it or what I would be painting over, priming or undercoating with although all 4 items I bought regarding the paint came from the same place, served by the same bloke and are all on the same invoice apparently doesnt hold water. just to be narky Ive already been back and got quotes to purchase the paint for my shed, garage, fozzy, the trailer and a couple of quote sheets for some tractor gear all up a tad over $2k worth of paint and about 4 hours of work from them to work out what paints, colours undercoats and so on...

Calmly told them thanks, asked to see the boss and handed back the invoices and told him to keep them cause thats how much business they just lost because of the way they delt with the "horrid orange wheel paint you sold me" the boss nearly turned the same colour as the paint thats on my rims

(I really have to do a post about coming back from holidays, ladies and gentle men it doesnt happen every where, its just ipswich)

I dont mind too much the splits are my play rims 2 of them are from kubota tractors and 3 are ex mil items that are the "incorrect" type and I picked them up with some other stuff.

    Service

Im afraid its a sign of the times. Customer service is rare thing and especially in the industrial/engineering feild it seems to be getting worse. I was once told that Ipswich is one of Australia's natural phenomina's. Its the only hole above ground!!!!! Judging by your comments this may be true????
