    Flag Raising - Australia Day

    Put up my Xmas present from the missus today. A flag pole with an Australian Flag!

    Nice house!

    Around here, if you put that flag pole up without council permission, they'd fine you then tell you to take it down - especially after they'd had a complaint that someone was offended by the flag!

    Last year on Australia Day I hung an Australian flag on our front gate which is over half a kilometer from our house. Next morning someone had ripped it off and taken off with it. All that was left was the tie rings on each corner.

    G'day Folks

    In Brisbane the "Sunday Mail" newspaper was giving a free car window mount flag to all purchasers of the paper by 10.00am on Bribie Island there was not a paper to be had, and cars driving around with 4 flags on them AND lots of papers in waste paper bins and yes,I have one and it is on the vehicle, and the paper on the dining room table
