			Defender +2' lift ???

Hi, I just fitted some 45mm Dobsion springs to my 110 TD5, to replace some King Springs that were fitted by the previous owner that were too hard. The springs lifted the car around and inch at the front and the back. The bump stop mesurements are 4.7 inches at the front and 5.7 inches at the rear. I was wondering what is the standard 110 bump stop clearances when new.
Is this lift too high?? it does seem to wonder a little more on the road. I have standard bilsteins fitted too. My old sprigs were 3.5 inch at front and 5.3 inch at the rear but the coils were a hell of alot thicker though. Should I give them a week or so too settle out a bit then remeasure?

probably not much help, but maybe worth knowing as a comparison. My 2" lifted 90 has 5.25 inches clearance front and rear.

Stock is around 65mm/2.5" bump stop clearance.

With stock length dampers you'll have reduced your droop travel the amount you've lifted the vehicle, so it may be more prone to lifting a wheel.

When I first fitted some 17" free length 220lb springs (17.2" actual length at the time) the bump stops measured 120mm/117mm off side/near side, but this has dropped over the years to just over 105mm or so.

Is it my eyes playing trix on me, or does the new Puma look like it has been lifted in the back?

The 60 anniversary example that I saw in the showroom looks like there is a larger gap between the top of the tyre and the wheel arch, than the frunnend.
