    Thumbs up EGR removal sketch

    Heres some quick measurements of EGR removal kits...

    The blanking plate is 4mm steel, the Inlet is Alloy.

    its easier to make the little plate out of FMS and just knock a 45deg corner off one end, saves having to shape the whole bit.

    it`s easier to get your mate whom works at a lasercutting firm to draw it all on a comp and cut them out of what ever material you want .

    materials

    i think you will find that the correct material for the inlet side is aluminum (Ali) not alloy and because it is cooler on the inlet side i don't think using mild steel will matter . Alloy is a mixture of metals to make a lightweight but strong material .

    EGR kit

    A work colleague pointed me to one of the pommy websites that supple EGR valve bypass kits (circa 40 quid or 90-100 oz beer tokens).

    May be another way of getting there if you don't have access to the materials, machinery shop and skilled hands.
