Times certainly are changing...but I fear its a global thing.

My Mrs had a similar thing after she stopped to help a woman & hubby who had parked her car in a ditch (skidded on the snow).

After being given the 20 question treatment about did she know how to drive a defender with more than 1 gearstick!! She pulled them out with the 110. No sooner had the rope been taken off the car they drove off without so much as a thank you.... schocking behaviour.

I reckon she should have pushed 'em further in, not pull 'em out
    Regards,

I think people also forget that land rover is in the global market and its no longer just farmers and enthusiasts that buy them!
Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......

    That's just plain rude.

It couldn't have been his. All landy drivers are chuffed to talk about their babys.

Not nice at all. That does surprise me a bit.... I've only found some owners of newer Land Rovers to be like that

I think ownership has changed, not so much in the series vehicles, but newer Defenders, Discos and Rangies. They seem to be owned less by enthusiasts, and more by rich tossers. I have stopped waving at Discos and Rangies, I get more waves from Cruiser owners. Most late model Defenders around here are driven by women, who don't wave, or flash their t*ts at you. It should be compulsary to own a series truck before a Defender to make them appreciate what they have and be thankfull!
