    Labertouche Vic

As some of you may be aware I headed Down to Victoria to see what I could do to help with the cleanup. Along with George130 (Edd, who had some diff problems on his way down from Yass as per other posts) we hooked up with the Gippsland 4wd club and got into removing the damaged fences for the farmers so they could have some hope of getting new fences put in to keep their stock in.

Labertouche is basically the south east corner of the Bunyip state forest for those who don't know. No lives lost around here but a lot of property destroyed.

Some photos are here Labertouche Feb 2009 album | TimJ | Fotki.com

Photos are of the lunch spot, a shed where we were stacking wire, various working shots and the rec reserve at Longwarry where we camped on Saturday night.

I am still here and am hoping to be able to do some more work in the next few days though we could not today due to the high fire danger. May head over to Kinglake and help with Disco300tdi's working bee on Sunday and then start heading home.

    Good work

The Gippsland 4WD Club boys helped me with some Huts work last year ... i recognise the brown 78 Series - belongs to their president. They do quite a few community projects ...good on them.
