Disco3z,
I have the Kaymar rear bar fitted. Almost needed a new rear bar after almost pulling the standard rear bumper off during a water crossing. Was a reasonable drop into the creek bed over a rock that was just the right size to tear the mudflap and pull the bumper off the clips, etc. This was even after sitting on offroad suspension setting. Didn't end up replacing the mudflaps. So sounded like a good excuse for a stronger bar if I was going to do any more offroad work.
All up the bar looks good and the mudflaps do reduce some of the splatter when driving down wet gravel roads (haven't done this much lately in WA). I also like mudflaps to protect the paintwork a little from stones and the like being flicked up. The bar also allowed me to carry my spare which is larger in diameter that the OEM tyres, as apparently these do not fit in the wheel well.
Cheers

I damaged one on the Simpson trip and have made my own ones out of rubber sheet. There is a gap now between them and my Kaymar bar and I used some of the rubber sheet to fold around that space, looks passable
The Kaymar bar is very useful, I have two spares on it and a long range tank underneath in the spare wheel space. However the bar can move towards the the body work and damage it as I found out when I gently nudged a post(spare wheel blocked view
). I glued a heavy duty rubber block either side between the bar and the chassis and when a young lady tried to push the Disco with her Nissan Pulsar the rubber blocks saved the bodywork
Where her LH headlight used to be was compressed into about 2cm.
