I cannot answer either of your questions but Anthony at Land Rover 101 - British 4wd Imports - Home Page should be of some assistance.

Hello all,
When I first took delivery of my 101 ambulance the front springs were bent and damaged.
Now after three long years of moderate to hard use all four parabolics are a little 'tired' to say the least.
My questions are:
1/ Are parabolics able to be re-set as per standard springs?
2/ are new parabolics available in Australia ?
Cheers
Phill

I cannot see why they cannot be reset.
Getting new ones made is a totally different story.
I dont think anyone here in Aust would want to do it because the parabolic shape of the spring and unusual thickness and width means normal spring bar stock wouldnt be able to be used.
There must be some ex aussie army old new stock around some where ?
