    td5 130

Hi Guys, I have a quick [ i hope ] question about a vaccume hose that is on the drives side inner guard in the engine bay. It starts from a cilinder thing with 2 tubes and 2 wires coming from it and it finishes on the other side of the engine bay, sort of behind the turbo. I think the cilinder thing has some thing to do with the egr valve {still connected }. So all i want to know is what is the other end meant to be connected to??? I hope that makes sence.

    Cheers Jim.

According to the piccy in the manual its the vent hose for the EGR modulator and should connect to the air box.

edit. type one and pre EU3 type 2 just vents to atmosphere after the little filter. Type 2 post EU3 goes to the airbox

    EGR hoses

    G'day,

Having just consigned the EGR to the spart parts bin, the EU3 TD5 valve has two of the units on the right wing.

Following the directions of the kit, once the hoses are off the EGR, they are plugged with a small bolt/screw, and you then disconnect the electric cables from each modulator... this is to stop 'odd' signals going to the ecu.
