That 'topside switch' error makes no sense at all.

Take it you dont have oil in the ecu plug? (red one) that could explanin the error codes on all the injectors.

The ECU's themselves are pretty robust.

Can you hear the fuel pump when you turn on the ignition?

Is the fuel pump relay ok?

any error pointing to the crank position sensor?

in some BMW's the topside switch is part of the antitheft/prang sensor setup. Not 100% but perhaps someone has goofed the translation and included an erroneous error code and maybe hitting the prang cutout button might fix it?

no its not oil in the harness, an the relay is working fine, the pump runs but is very loud, lik its suking up air, i blew out al the conectors an it started agen,, idels fine an runs fine up to 2500rpm an cuts out, but will start agen lik all is normal?? an if u drive it but keep it under 2000 its fine,,, but after about a k or so it cuts out agen,,

so im realy hoping its a fuel pump cos i realy dont wana have to get a new ecu,, but i hope this helps others that have had the same thing happen,,

Hi topside switch I have read is means ECU is toast!!! but do not fear
I had the same thing, one day My 2001 TD5 would not start and the temperature gauge was in the redwhen i turned the key but it was not hot so it would not start, then it would start, then idle rough, oil light would come on ,then dissappear and the idle was ok!!
Googled it and found a thread that said run an extra earth wire from ecu and clean the other earth and that was last september !! all good
here is link the thread, (naturally assuming that everthing else is ok with your truck!!)
