iv had a fast look on google, but has enyone have a circuit diagram for the td5 ecu, (2004 ecu)

i pulled mine out to day an there is a blow resistor an dyode by the look at it,, the board is undamiged, so if i have a diagram i can work out what it is an replace it, trying everything to not to buy a new ecu,, its buggerd allready so i cant loose enything buy playing around with it,, thanks,

how do you know its blown? ive seen alot of circut boards with ''hot'' components that look like that, that are perfectly fine.
im not an ECU guru but ide say your the first on here to do that.

    cheers phil

the transistor is in two pices an you can lift the resistor off the board, ther is still a resistence thro the resistor but the transistor is well gone, nothing elce on the board is blow an i could talk to the ecu with t4 like normal,

Would the values you need be written on the relevant bits?

If so I can take one apart and get them?

    Hi Stig0000,

Did you ever get an answer to this? I have the very same problem. What year/model Lr do you have? Even better what was the part number for the ECU. I have a 2004 D2 td5, shes starting and running, but cutting out over 2750 revs ( the bost modulator is goosed) also If I am driving an I take my foot ff the pedal she cuts out. I have been looking for a photo of a working one as the colour code tell what it is.

    Regards,

    to joseph

Hi joseph, i know absolutly nothing about ECU,s or cercuts. I did have a miss on my TD5 when doing about 110ks it was one of those intermitant misses . I found the problem quite by accedent , while changing the injector harness . I noticed that the cables running just the head ,drivers side , had worn through . One of the cables had worn the plastic away, so it was shorting against the engine block. There was oil on the cables making it hard to see the broblem . I cleand them up retaped them, then cable tied them so no more scuffing from vibration (plus on more miss ).. Now it may not be your problem ,but it is something for TD5 owners to know about.I hope you sort your problem out good luck jimr1 ..
