Non L/R related - Mazda Astina 323 - any good

Looking at a 96 Mazda Astina 323 5 door auto hatchback to replace my clapped out VR commodore - anyone on AULRO own/owned one at all? Thoughts....?

It has been stated ,on this forum, that they have plenty of flex. Unsure of which model was refered to though.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

    Hey Mick
These are fantastic cars very well built. I was a Mazda Tech when these came out and I would purchase one no problem. You should be paying around $8000.00 for a good one with around 110000km (if vehicle is close to the 100000km mark check cambelt has been done $350.00-$450.00)
    Cheers Wayne

Thanks Wayne - it's for my daughter. About 150,000 ks, very neat. It's in for $5200 but I know I can get it for $3K.

SWMBO had one of the 2l v6 ones, awesome little car, only issue was dealer services tended to be a little expensive. She beats me up to this day over selling it.

    Regards,

Check oil consumption and engine fuming. Not for nothing are Mazdas known in the used car trade as "Smoky Joes". It is a 96 model and would go through the trade auctions $2500-$3000. Mass produced family cars over 8-10 years old don't fetch a lot.
