A pollen filter for the aircon and air filter for engine.
    Air-compressor for cleaning filters.
    EPIRB for remote area rescue.
Solar panel (flexible rollup type) for trickle charge starting battery.
ARB tyre repair kit, metal handle and sticky rope plug type.

A camera to remind you what it was all about

    Have fun,

    Spares For Kimberleys Trip

I did Gibb River Rd last year and discovered the gross vehicle weight is the biggest enemy of tyres. Whilst I took spare spare wheel & tyre, needed only to take a spare tyre carcass with hindsight. Being coil sprung, dragged a#se often, losing rear mudflaps. Otherwise, apart from tool kit, fuses, wire, tape, I took no spares...although I would re-consider with an older vehicle. GRR is well travelled from May to October so you will have plenty of company unless you leave the main drag...ie detour to Kulumburu. Even Cape Leveque is well travelled. Plenty of spares in Kunnunara including Wranglers if you are unfortunate enough to still have them and need two like I did!!!! Likewise for Broome, except no Wranglers.

    TDV6 spares

thanks for the responses, I have solar panels on my adventure camper, ARB-punture kit, snatch straps, compressor, tool kit, snorkle etc etc. I'll take note of the fuses and filters. The idea of carrying a tyre instead of second spare wheel/tyre is usefull as I have Cooper LTZ 285's on the car so I'm sure the backyard tyre place will not have any and the cost of another wheel seems overboard unless I can source a second hand one.

Fuel up at Wyndam not Kunnunara only 100k away, Halls Creek was good price also. Re pollen filter, when it is blocked the aircon shuts down, you wind the windows down, car fills with dust, dust kills CD and DVD, SWMBO gets upset etc. If you get a chance go through "Tunnel Creek" 36k south of Windjamia George, a torch is a must have for the walk.

Heat, crap roads and heavy loads plus a 3 ton van delaminated 6 tyres for me, I had two trays under the van for spare tyres off the rim and used them all. Will do it again on 17" Light Truck construction tyres and less tools, spares.

If towing off-road I would get the Mitchell Bros Hitch.
Wheel speed sensors are an item that can fail so maybe take a couple.
