This looks like an awesome 4wd PC..

CF-U1 RUGGED Field Rugged UMPC [CF-U1AQBXZAM] - Panasonic Australia

Probably lotsa $$ I guess... looks neat though Wonder how neat it would fit in the D3 dash Does 1024x600 resolution in a 5.6" screen.

I have a CFM-34 toughbook similar to this one,

PANASONIC TOUGHBOOK CF-M34 LAPTOP 700MHZ CFM34 w/CD Dr - eBay, Laptops Notebooks, Computers Networking. (end time 12-May-09 03:18:14 AEST)

They have a touchscreen so you don't need a mouse.
I have OziExplorer on mine and a USB GPS.
I can post pics if anybody wants a look at the setup.

That would be great thanks Hymie - it a bit older that one you have - so it runs ok? What OS are you using?

Just got the fujitsu U2010 UMPC and I'm not impressed by the video playback ability (or lack of it). Real shame since the 270dpi display is amazing.

You don't need a PC to be ruggedised for in-car 4WD use. That's nice, but it'd be very pricey. I'd check out netbooks instead.
