I didn't actually know that I have no idea how many pics I have but I thought I had more than 250 as I have about 15 albums on the go...

you could try flickr or image shack....you sure its 250 all up or is it saying it can't upload 250 all in one go and have you checked whether or not thats just an album limit?

You'll find most sites like PhotoBucket and Flickr that offer a free service have a limit of 200-250 pic's. If you really want to get the most you have to pay. Of the photo sites those two are among the cheapest alternatives to subscribe to.

Photobucket works well for me. Or it is webshots ? hell, whio can remember....

The main problem I have (and wish oneof them would address) is once you have started using one its impossible to import across from another service.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

i just "add image via URL" on photobucket

this works well too if a forum doesn't let you 'cut n paste' pictures from the internet into threads

No it isn't! have a look at Adobe's free online simplified Photoshop www.photoshop.com in which you can link to a library like PhotoBucket or Flickr and transfer files between them. Its free too.
