How many breakdowns will we have?
an event that requires the spanners will include anything that stops a vehicle, requires a part so fixing a flat counts as does a jumpstart. However an event that requires a recuring fix such as towstarting because of a dead starter motor) only counts once.
Minor adjustments such as tyre pressures, tightening a loose mirror or fitting, adding oil or adjusting the tension on a squealing belt wont count Unless the vehicle becomes unable or unsafe to operate without attention.
The suggestion was made to use which vehicle broke down the most as a tie breaker but since thats most likely going to be be fozzy thats no good.
The tie breaker will be the breakdown of the types of faults in the broad catagories of
Electrical (think jumpstart, alternator, starters, batteries, fuses and shorts)
Mechanicals (broken bits or bits that need adjusting)
fluids (repriming fuel systems, replacing messed up oils from fording, and the cooling system)
Structural (unbending/rejoining things)

If you've benefited from one or more of my posts please remember, your taxes paid for my skill sets, I'm just trying to make sure you get your monies worth.
If you think you're in front on the deal, pay it forwards.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess ZERO breakdowns. I reckon everyone will have prepared their vehicles and with you, Dave, no doubt offering help/your services/and advice prior to leaving I think you'll all be right.
Come on - it's a LR trip - everything will be fine.![]()
